On this record, the band takes a radically different direction from their first album (They Threw Us All In A Trench And Stuck A Monument On Top): they abandon the post-punk/funk of their beginnings for a much more experimental sound, even leaning towards the no wave of the late 70s. The music offered here therefore presents original sounds creating unsettling atmospheres and influenced by tribal music.
