LIARS is back! The Brooklyn experimental rock band led by Angus Andrew is back with an event 10th album titled The Apple Drop, set to be released on August 6, 2021, via Mute/[PIAS]. For this 10th album, Angus chose to broaden his scope and embrace collaboration. The Apple Drop sees him working with avant-garde jazz drummer Laurence Pike, multi-instrumentalist Cameron Deyell, and lyricist Mary Pearson Andrew. This raw blend of live and organic instrumentation in the studio, along with Angus' solo computer tinkering, results in an album that blurs the lines between classic rock band structure and experimental electronica. There aren't many bands that can make looking back seem futuristic, but with this new album, Liars has managed to create an entirely new world sonically, thematically, and lyrically.
