L'étrangleuse is made up of two girls and two boys who play an undefined form of minimalist rock and free song, amplifying the dialogue between a flamed maple pedal harp and a goatskin djeli n'goni, all set to the grooves of a bass-drums section adorned with trinkets. With a fourth album due in June 2024, L'Étrangleuse blows up their original chamber post-rock sound with Anne Godefert, bassist and singer from the electronic music scene, and Léo Dumont, a drummer-objectist known for his sonic boldness (Chromb, Pixvae, An Pagay, Polymorphie…).
