"Good evening, we are the Thugs, we come from Angers and we are really very very happy to see you again..." : June 2008, the Thugs return to the stage during the "No-Reform Tour", 10 explosive dates with the highlight taking place in Seattle, on July 12 and 13, for the 20th anniversary of the legendary label Sub Pop, of which they were the only French signing. "Come On People!" traces the genesis of this "non-reformation" and, beyond that, the journey of one of the most atypical and influential bands in French rock and punk. In this magnificent documentary, the Thugs comment on their adventure with archival footage (from wild concerts in the beginning to American tours) and live sequences filmed in Seattle and France. The saga of the Angers band (1983-1999) is intimately intertwined with the French underground scene of the 80s; musically unclassifiable, between punk-rock and noisy pop, "between the Beatles and Motörhead", the Thugs built themselves on the margins of show business and the mainstream media. Claiming as humbly as proudly their independence and commitments, they found their audience all over Europe, and undertook several American tours, sharing the stage with Nirvana, Noir Désir, Jello Biafra, or The Breeders, while remaining relatively unknown to the general public during these fifteen years of career.
