Les SHERIFF are back with a new album... 23 years after 'Electrochoc'! No one would have dared to dream of a return to record for the Sheriff. Yet, here it is. A great late bombardment as a firework display. This comeback of the Sheriff is a timeless parenthesis that allows us to dream of fiery concerts, a regained youth, monstrous choruses chanted together in the darkness of a melting pit, a contagious good mood for a band that should be funded by Social Security. It's a gift straight from Montpellier, where everything must end, but as late as possible anyway. If the sound has hardened, the riffs remain as precise as ever, the rhythm unyielding, and the energy admirable. The melodies hit the mark and we will surely sing them in the shower. The collective appears more united and involved than ever (as evidenced by the diversity of composers)... On the lyrics side, Olivier takes the lead, as always, this time with a seriousness far from the juvenile jokes of the Gougnaf/New Rose years, but a romanticism as intact as the youth of these eternal thirty-somethings, not even prisoners of their fifty-something bodies which are as many challenges to the passing time.
