Les Rita Mitsouko have marked the history of French Music. Formed in 1979, the duo Catherine Ringer- Fred Chichin released their first album "Rita Mitsouko" in 1985, of which the 4th single "Marcia Baïla" became the hit we all know. With their 2nd album "The No Comprendo" (1986, remember: "Andy", "c'est comme ça", "Les Histoires d'A"...), Les Rita Mitsouko reached the status of phenomenon and iconic group, this for 3 decades where they reinvented themselves with each album, making a rare junction: that of the world of artistic avant-garde (they collaborated with the greatest photographers and creators, some of whom were starting their own careers) and popular music. Until the year 2007 with "Variéty", whose end of the year was very sadly marked by the death of Fred Chichin. In 2019, Catherine Ringer immersed herself again in the work of Les Rita Mitsouko, finally remastered and revisited exhaustively under her supervision.
