Ruin Everything is the fifth studio album by Stockholm's pioneers of psychedelic rock, Les Big Byrd. Formed in 2011, this quartet has perfected its blend of space rock, hypnotic psychedelia, and controlled krautrock. Led by songwriter and producer Jocke Åhlund, Les Big Byrd has toured the world, building a devoted fan base and oscillating between the status of an essential Swedish rock band and that of an underground psychedelic outfit abroad. After the experimental and instrumental album Diamonds, Rhinestones and Hard Rain (2024), Ruin Everything marks Les Big Byrd's return to a more melodic approach, reminiscent of their classic Iran Iraq IKEA (2018). The group has channeled its boldest experiments into a more precise and controlled sound, ranging from the dystopian epic "Big Flood" to the high-energy space rock of "Hökvind". With Ruin Everything, Les Big Byrd reaches their peak.
