Hier pour toujours

Description

Two years after their debut at Mannequin Records, the Berlin label, the Parisian duo Leroy Se Meurt returns with their second album, Hier Pour Toujours. Far from any nostalgia, this album offers no illusion of hope: history repeats itself, the future seems bleak, and their punk electro style is the perfect soundtrack for it. The drum machines set the tempo while the synths saturate the space, the loops flow relentlessly, and the voices lead this mechanical orchestra straight into the heart of chaos. Drawing from their roots, Leroy Se Meurt pushes their fierce electro further than ever, experimenting with bold slogans, spoken passages, and powerful choruses to sing along to. With Hier Pour Toujours, Leroy Se Meurt does not offer optimism, but rather perseverance. Nothing is yet decided, and perhaps, just perhaps, there is still light at the end of the tunnel.
