The Greek violinist Leonidas Kavakos teams up with the prodigy pianist Yuja Wang to record Brahms' Three Sonatas for Violin and Piano. Johannes Brahms composed these three sonatas between 1878 and 1888. He is then a composer at the height of his art. These sonatas are among the masterpieces of the chamber music repertoire. Romantic par excellence, they are however very different in character; passionate, fiery, and conquering moments are followed by poetic and sweetly dreamy moments. Recognized for his impeccable technique and the sweetness of his playing, this collaboration with the impressive Yuja Wang is simply exceptional and highlights their great complicity.
