George Harrison’s record label, Dark Horse Records, is proud to release Leon Russell’s Signature Songs, a collection of intimate, stripped-down piano-and-vocal recordings featuring covers of his timeless songs: “A Song for You,” “Tight Rope,” “Stranger in a Strange Land,” and “Hummingbird.” Originally released in 2001, this album is being reissued on CD and pressed on vinyl for the first time. The friendship between Leon and George Harrison is well documented; one remembers their incredible performance at the Concert for Bangladesh in 1972. It is therefore entirely fitting that his catalog has found its place at Dark Horse Records. Leon Russell was one of the most respected rock musicians of the 20th century and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriter's Hall of Fame.
