Lee Ranaldo is back with his new album, *In Virus Times*, set to be released via Mute/[PIAS] on November 12, 2021. *In Virus Times* is an acoustic, entirely instrumental work in four parts, written and performed by Lee Ranaldo himself. Regarding this new album, he states: "This recording began one evening in September 2020, stuck at home in lower Manhattan during the dark days of the Covid-19 pandemic, as we emerged from a deadly summer. A heightened sense of anxiety, due to the impending US presidential elections and the virus, seemed to pervade every aspect of life, for me and everyone I knew. The album's minimalist side reflects the feeling of 'time standing still' that many of us experienced."
