Trumpeter Lee Morgan was just 19 and only at the beginning of his long association with Blue Note when he recorded the brightly swinging album City Lights in 1957 with Curtis Fuller, George Coleman, Ray Bryant, Paul Chambers, and Art Taylor. The album includes three compositions by Morgan's mentor Benny Golson. This Tone Poet edition is all-analog, stereo, mastered by K. Gray from the original tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl, and presented in a gatefold jacket.
