New album by the 8 musicians from Orthez, Trottoir d'en face: “We chose this title for its contrasting side. We didn’t want to say that it’s all sunshine, but rather to look at the shadow,” explains singer Benoît Crabos. An atmosphere that will permeate the mood of the twelve tracks on the record. “Each member of the band has their favorite song. Personally, I really like ‘Je meurs,’ which tells the story of the robbery of a grocery store. The story of a destitute man who attacks a grocery store with a wooden pistol. Sadly, he is taken for real and gets shot. The song begins as he is dying on the sidewalk.” Another song, “Les fils d'or,” will tell the story of a man “without blood, without strength.” “It will be the most aggressive song, the most rock song on the album. The album has a very eclectic color, we touch on a bit of every music style. Rock purists will say it isn’t rock, and the same for those who like French chanson,” he smiles.
