Le Réveil Des Tropiques returns at the beginning of 2018 with Big Bang, their second studio album six years after the release of their eponymous debut. Resulting from a long four-day session at the analog studio Kerwax (Brittany) and consisting of four long tracks (around ten minutes each), this album leans heavily towards cosmological and quantum trance with much more prominent krautrock and drone influences. The keyboards are more to the forefront, and repetitive loops haunt the record into infinity, all supported by an aggressive and vicious bass-drum rhythm section. Including this new record, their live albums, and their always unique and striking stage performances, Le Réveil Des Tropiques already stands out for its singularity and its rich and varied production.
