Between hip-hop coastal hops and punky-noisy-pop rock navigations, '10', the aptly named tenth album from the cosmopolitan Peuple de l'Herbe, proves as prodigious as it is disconcerting.After more than 20 years of sailing with winds sometimes favorable, sometimes adverse, Le Peuple de l'Herbe returns with a 10th album 'Ten'. Without renouncing anything, for this new opus, the few mutations felt in recent years (additional instruments, line-up) have clearly changed the destination of the initial course.A sort of return to the roots, prior to the very genesis of the group, for a result as clear as it can be disconcerting. It smells good of urban experience and we wouldn't complain about it. The entire album is listened to with delight, like the soundtrack to the film of our miserable (but no less rich) existence as schizos, sometimes disillusioned, sometimes overexcited by the ambient chaos that has become so commonplace.It's quite simple, if 'Ten' were a first album, we would cry genius.
