"I love going to churches and cathedrals, especially when there are few people, or even no one, in that inhabited silence, where the sounds from outside that we sometimes hear seem unreal. You cross the threshold, and you are outside of time, between heaven and earth. Standing there, in the midst of cities and villages sometimes for centuries, the church is a spaceship. Playing and singing there is a joy, and the place is not neutral, as its walls, vaults, stained glass, and pillars impose their resonance on us, and are partners to be reckoned with. At the moment I am working on a musical piece and song about Joan of Arc, the calendar is quite fitting."
