Description

Better known as half of the super indie girl group based in Berlin, Gurr, Laura Lee rises from the ashes and returns to the furnace to spread her message in the world of love, hope, despair, regrets, and dreams. Only this time, it's under the guise of her own project, Laura Lee and the Jettes. Coming from the French word for "to throw," the Jettes gather a range of outcasts, misfits, and rogues, but above all, a band and a brother/sister supporting Laura Lee. Releasing an EP and a few singles under the previous incarnation Jettes, the group quickly filled festival slots, was broadcasted, and received coverage in the music press in Germany. Notable performances in 2020 at the Reeperbahn Festival and WDR Rockpalast confirmed the group as one of the new music projects to watch among a wave of exceptional new talent coming from Germany right now. Now signed to Duchess Box Records, with whom Laura had previously worked on Gurr, Laura Lee & The Jettes enter 2021 with a plan for their first album and plenty of rock n roll.
