That Girl: Live Recordings 1986 - 1994 - Vinyle Swirl Noir Et Blanc
Description
Rooted in Detroit's Cass Corridor punk and hardcore scene of the early 80s, John Brannon (Negative Approach) and Larissa Strickland (L-Seven), accompanied by the rhythm section duo of Kevin Strickland and Jim Kimball — later replaced by Ron Sakowski (Necros) on bass and Todd Swalla (Necros) on drums — propelled the Laughing Hyenas to another level. Inspired by The Birthday Party, the Funhouse-era Stooges, as well as blues and jazz, they delivered a fierce and scorching sonic maelstrom. The hypnotic, sinister bass riffs and tribal swing formed the perfect foundation for Larissa's sharp, tearing guitars, despite her having picked up a guitar only months before the band's formation, and for John Brannon's diabolical howl. A raw, intense, and visceral experience that left a lasting mark on Detroit punk.
