Description

Get Serene is the third album from New York band Lampland, the group and recording project of Tommy Bazarian. Produced by Katie Von Schleicher and Nate Mendelsohn (known for producing standout albums by Frankie Cosmos and Dougie Poole), the album is Lampland's best collection to date—a showcase of their arty, Elliott Smith-inspired vision of indie rock. Katie Von Schleicher, one of New York's finest singer-songwriters, sings backing vocals on the album, alongside Margaux Bouchegnies (known for her solo project, Margaux). The band draws on their shared influences: the grooves and experimental colors of Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, the grunge-y abandon of early Porches records, and the lofi shimmer of Chris Cohen's home recordings.
