Opus Dei (translation: "God's Work") was the band's first album under the Mute label, garnering praise and attracting worldwide attention to this unique Slovenian collective. The album was later included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (edited by Robert Dimery), where it was described as "...a masterpiece of its kind."
