New Zealand group L.A.B returns with their sixth album 'L.A.B VI', an eclectic and catchy blend of genres. L.A.B's groove is an eclectic, catchy, and relaxed mix of reggae, pop, blues, rock, soul, and funk with electronic influences. Composed of former members of the bands Kora and Katchafire, L.A.B has become a mainstay of the New Zealand music scene, with 5 albums released in the last 5 years, all having gone platinum at least once, dominating national charts, radio playlists, award ceremonies, and streaming platform statistics. L.A.B has also made a name for itself on Australasian (and recently US) stages, and was voted New Zealand's best live band two years in a row. The five musicians also made their European debut with two concerts in Amsterdam and London at the end of 2023. Today, L.A.B returns with their new album, aptly titled "VI", the latest addition to their catalog. The band recorded their new songs with collaborator Lee Prebble at Surgery Studios in Wellington, after a period of almost 18 months dedicated to writing, refining, and perfecting their most solid album to date.
