Le 'trallallero' is a form of traditional singing practiced by male ensembles in Genoa, Liguria (Italy). Each squadra is made up of four soloists and a group of bassi (basses). Among the solo voices are: the contralto (or contraeto), the tenore (tenor) (or primmo), the baritono (baritone) and the chitarra vocale (vocal guitar). There are no written scores. The verses, usually in Italian, are embellished with dialect terms. Genoa, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Milan, Paris, Rome, LaSquadra has given more than 400 concerts that have received unanimous acclaim.
