La Poison, a concoction to be conjugated in the feminine, overflows with a rare euphoric energy that is evidenced by this first album. Magnetic voice, incisive riffs, cutting beats... La Poison achieves the perfect synthesis of a wild and impactful rock, garage/post-punk trend, and a captivating electro at the borders of new/cold wave. The Parisian trio has no equivalent on the rock planet. Bringing together two former Maximum Kouette members: Moon (vocals) and David (drums and programming), and a former Mano Negra member: Daniel Jamet (who also worked with Mano Solo, Saez, or Gaetan Rousel), La Poison lets loose and calls to our memory the best of its influences: Blondie, B52's, Amy Winehouse, Kraftwerk, The Prodigy, and Devo, and transitions without complex from rather dark rock universes to bright and dancing clubbing atmospheres. The production by Bertrand Lacombe, aka Dombrance/DBFC (Transmusicales 2018), asserts a resolutely electro sound.
