Following numerous concerts across France and beyond in 2022 and 2023, La Faiblesse will release a second, self-titled album in March 2024 (Twenty Something / Guerilla Asso). Recorded at Century Audio (Ramsgate, UK) by Jack Norris in May 2023 and mixed again by Romtomcat the following autumn, it cultivates the quartet's contrasting musical identity, scattering screamo, pop, shoegaze, and post-rock milestones throughout the new compositions ('Je l'aime Autant', 'Laisser le Vide', 'Ma Vie d'Avant', 'Rester Ensemble'), sometimes within a single track ('Après la Pluie'). 'Tout Se Perd', a veritable deafening storm, contrasts with the moving pop song 'Mourir a Ramsgate' sung by Isaac Ashby from the English band College. Let's not forget the opening track, 'Les Chemins Vers Toi', with its massive riffs and dark rhythm, a true DNA track for the band. 'La Faiblesse' is an album built without arrogance, with sincerity and simplicity, but not without ambition. As we said, La Faiblesse's music serves as an outlet and a fulfillment, and communion with others – the listener, the audience, the world – remains essential to reap its benefits.
