In his new album, the American double bassist cultivates a musical heritage that dates back to the soundtrack of his childhood, when he listened to Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Miles Davis, and met all these great artists backstage at concerts with his father. Jazz is his passion, which he has nurtured with masters like Ray Brown, Lennie Niehaus, and Buell Neidlinger, before signing a beautiful series of albums for the Candid label. For his arrival at JazzVillage, and to mark his Francophile side, he wanted to record at La Buissonne, one of the most beautiful studios today, with his loyal group of young English wolves.
