KLON envisions their music as a breath of fresh air, an ode to freedom and collegiate adventures.
Their debut album, “KLONBUSTER,” was born in their home, both a living space and a true creative laboratory. Composed entirely independently, using vintage instruments (a Roland TR-808 here, a Juno synth there), they were in a constant search for emotions. It was only once the various demos were complete that KLON, determined to defy musical dogmas, decided to seek out other opinions, whether at the legendary Motorbass studio, the birthplace of French Touch, or through video calls with Randy Merrill, who was tasked with mastering the album, giving depth to tracks of a new genre, based on live energy but determined to appeal to both the feet and the mind.
Evidently, ideas abound, reflecting the contagious enthusiasm of this close-knit family, their captivating spontaneity, their inclusive aspirations, and their aversion to routine, all perceptible when listening to the eleven tracks on this debut album.
Far from the "good vibes" pop of their first EP (Nouveau genre, released in 2021), KLON, driven by the same collective spirit, opts for a raw, more edgy sound with this first album, “KLONBUSTER.” It's never truly satisfied with innovative ideas and liberating escapes into hybrid, dense formats, sometimes inherited from rock, other times from rap, but always effective.
