Kino is a British progressive rock band founded in 2004. The band is made up of experienced musicians from the progressive rock scene. Kino's second album, « Radio Voltaire », was released in 2018. The album is a perfect blend of progressive rock with a melodic, song-oriented approach. It received positive reviews from fans and critics, who praised it for its solid compositions and the musical skills of the band members. Construction Records is proud to reissue this album on 180-gram double colored vinyl! The band is made up of the following members: John Mitchell (guitarist and singer): Mitchell is a prominent figure on the British prog scene and is also a member of bands such as Arena and It Bites. Pete Trewavas (bassist): Trewavas is best known as a member of the legendary British band Marillion, and also plays in projects such as Transatlantic. John Beck (keyboardist): Beck is co-founder of It Bites and has collaborated with several other artists. Craig Blundell (drummer): Blundell is a virtuoso drummer who has also played in Steven Wilson's band and Frost. Although Kino is one of the many projects of the band members, the band has proven to be a solid unit with its own sound. They still perform sporadically and their work remains a valuable addition to the progressive rock scene. However, there is no indication that they plan to release new albums regularly, given the other busy schedules of the band members with their main bands.« Radio Voltaire » is an excellent album for both progressive rock fans and those who love melodic, emotionally rich music.
