The Australian Kimbra returns for her fourth album, eclectic and intimate! The fourth studio album by the artist Kimbra, awarded two Grammy Awards, is a record of reflection on the macro-reflections of our world on the environment, health, race, spirituality, and feminism. But at the heart of the album lies the war she fights against the micro-reflections she faces internally. It is the most self-sufficient sound-wise and the rawest in terms of confession she has ever made, drawing influence from everything from modern film soundtracks to electro-industrial pop. The album was conceived in 2018, during Kimbra's tour with co-producer Ryan Lott of the band Son Lux, who recently scored the music for the A24 film "Everything Everywhere All At Once." Kimbra hopes that listeners will find catharsis and connection in "A Reckoning," whether they are facing change in their own lives or dealing with the changes in the world around them.
