Demon Records is delighted to announce the vinyl reissue, for the first time in over 35 years, of Kim Wilde's cult MCA albums. Now available on blue vinyl and, for the first time, as a picture disc, "Teases & Dares" is Kim's fourth studio album, originally released in November 1984 following a change of record label. It includes the singles "The Second Time" (released in the US as "Go For It"), "The Touch" and "Rage To Love". Both formats now include the bonus tracks "Lovers On A Beach" (B-side of "The Second Time") and a cover of The Shirelles' "Putty In Your Hands" (B-side of the single "Rage To Love", which charted at No. 19 in the UK). Helping to introduce Kim to a wider audience, "The Touch" was featured in the 1985 romantic comedy Secret Admirer, while the album track "Is It Over" was included in the soundtrack of the comedy thriller Fletch. Teases & Dares marked the first time Kim was credited as sole songwriter (for the tracks "Fit In" and "Shangri-La" - she was also credited on keyboards for both), and she was credited as co-producer of the album, alongside her father and brother Marty and Ricky Wilde. Other collaborators included Kim's longtime guitarist Steve Byrd (formerly of the rock band Gillan), drummer Chris North (former member of progressive rock band The Enid), and an appearance by highly sought-after percussionist Andy Duncan (who notably worked with Linx, Wham!, Elaine Paige and Frankie Goes To Hollywood in the 80s).
