He could not have imagined then witnessing this turning of the hourglass, this reappropriation of his repertoire by artists who discovered it by chance along their paths. And Michel Fugain admits: "I like the idea that the artists of my generation are part of the roots of a new generation, just as others before me had established an ethic to which I have adhered since my beginnings." Today, "Forteresse," "Attention mesdames et messieurs," "Fais comme l'oiseau," "Jusqu'à demain peut-être" are soaring again... He loves this transmission, this moment when "the man passes the song to other men," leaving behind something other than himself, his little worries and fleeting urgencies.
