Founded in 2012, the Kid Colling Cartel (named in reference to the frontman's Colombian origins) consists of Kid Colling (vocals and guitar), Alex Logel (organ and keyboards), David Franco (bass) and Florian Pons (drums). Describing their style as "Alternative Blues Rock," the band mainly plays Colling's compositions and draws inspiration from various genres such as groove, funk and especially rock—without ever abandoning its blues roots. The harmony and musical chemistry of the band on stage is undeniable, and Kid Colling, who is first and foremost a guitarist, stands out for his charisma as well as for a recognizable singing voice that he can modulate at will. He is keen not to confine the Cartel to a particular style, but to appeal to a wide audience, who can easily appreciate his music without necessarily being a fan of pure blues. In 2017, the Kid Colling Cartel released its first album "In the Devil's Court" and the next album titled "Living on the Wild Side" is planned for February 2024.
