Ki ! is the new signature of Crunchy Frog. Ki ! is the songwriter, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist Christian Ki Dall. Outside of his solo productions, he is both a musician, playing with artists like Sterling Roswell from Spaceman 3, The Telescopes, Death Valley Sleepers, and many others, and a producer for others, including Rufus Miller (Sting's guitarist), Dør nr. 13, and D/troit.
The first album by Ki was born as the tracks were written and recorded, track by track, over a period of two years, most of them as a tribute to some of his favorite artists such as Fela Kuti, Sharon Jones, George Harrison, J Dilla, Link Wray, Elizabeth Cotten, etc. The variety of genres, styles, and sounds on the album is very wide, drawing inspiration from different periods and around the world. By processing and digesting all of this, Ki ! produces music that feels truly unique and authentic. 20 very diverse tracks, some instrumental, others with guest singers, make up this first double album.
