Khruangbin, the Houston, Texas trio known for their eclectic musical explorations, caps off a year rich in live albums with Live at Sydney Opera House, Australia. This double LP, comprised entirely of the band's own material, will be released on December 1st via Dead Oceans, in partnership with Night Time Stories Ltd. To mark the occasion, the band is also unveiling a new version of People Everywhere (Shifting Sands Remix), a reinterpretation of their classic track The Universe Smiles Upon You. The album celebrates the band's improvisational virtuosity and iconic setlists, tracing their journey with tracks such as A Calf Born in Winter, Maria También, So We Won’t Forget, Shida, and Friday Morning. These tracks are captured in all their interstellar grandeur at one of the world's most prestigious venues: the Sydney Opera House, where Khruangbin performed their first series of three sold-out shows in November 2022. Live at Sydney Opera House follows four other live albums released earlier this year, recorded during performances with guests including Kelly Doyle, Ruben Moreno, The Suffers, Robert Ellis, Nubya Garcia, Men I Trust, and Toro Y Moi, across renowned venues in New York, Toronto, Austin, and Miami. The collection illustrates the trio's energy and growing influence on the global stage.
