Needles Into The Ground

Needles Into the Ground contains material from Khost that has been elemental transformed by Justin Broadrick of Godflesh. The original material from Khost – taken from their second album Corrosive Shroud – is dense, multifaceted, and purgatorial, without a direct approach based on "stems." Broadrick extracted what he needed for his work while in pure Godflesh mode. As a result, the outcome is claustrophobic and frantic, the experience akin to being near a large unstable machine on the brink of collapse. In addition to these tracks, Khost has added a new piece. 26 minutes "If it were a painting, it would be about a kilometer wide supported by old thick metal scaffolding and wires creaking in the wind, partly abstract, partly quite difficult to decipher, and the materials would be like oil and oozing, never quite drying out" (Khost).
