After quickly establishing herself in the public's consciousness with the fearlessness she demonstrates on stage and in the studio, the Georgian-born pianist Khatia Buniatishvili is now renowned for her original and bold musical choices, making each of her appearances a must-see event. The brilliant young musician turns her attention here to Franz Schubert for the first time in her career, thus making this new record her first recording dedicated to the Austrian composer. On the program, the grand final Piano Sonata (D 960), the very popular 4 Impromptus, and the Serenade/Ständchen (arranged by Liszt) excerpt from the Swan Song (D 957).
