If This Is A Photograph is a house you’ve lived in, then More Photographs might be the same house experienced differently. As if you, its inhabitant, had taken a psychedelic substance and suddenly your glasses had been replaced by kaleidoscopes. Everything you once thought familiar suddenly appears differently, shifting in shapes, colors, and soundscapes. Kevin Morby returns to the inexhaustible themes of his album with new wisdom, new imagination, and winks that uniquely and specially connect all of his work. "Five Easy Pieces Revisited" captures the same moment but from Bobby's perspective; "This Is A Photograph II" takes a similar approach, revisiting its predecessor from a different angle. "Triumph" further explores the myths and deaths surrounding Memphis, TN, this time inspired by Chris Bell of Big Star. And "Kingdom Of Hearts" arrives as an origin story for both This Is A Photograph and its new companion. The release of this collection of tracks is for him a way to close this chapter of his creative life. With its nine lush songs composed of three reimagined titles and six new tracks, More Photographs (A Continuum) is both a prequel and a sequel to an already rich and generous record from one of our brightest modern songwriters. The artwork for the project was created by Tommy Kha, a renowned photographer from Memphis.
