A walsl becomes a bridge

Kendrick Scott Oracle returns with his album 'A Wall Becomes A Bridge' (Blue Note), an inspiring cycle of 12 new tracks to overcome personal and collective obstacles. The album was produced by Derrick Hodge, and Scott's expanding quintet now includes DJ Jahi Sundance joining guitarist Mike Moreno, pianist Taylors Eigsti, multi-instrumentalist John Ellis, and bassist Joe Sander to broaden Oracle's palette. Kendrick Scott shares his vision for the album in an artistic statement: I realized that the purpose of my life is to become an instrument of peace; to overcome divisions through my music. This project is a response to a personal struggle that is also a collective struggle: The way we are all more connected than ever, but also more separated; and the possibilities that arise with this awareness.
