Description

A personal selection of music recorded in 2014 during his improvised concerts in Japan, Canada, and Europe. While in the past Keith Jarrett's solo testimonies reflected the process of improvisation evolving throughout an evening, this time he chooses to focus on the most revealing moments from six concerts given in Tokyo, Toronto, Paris, and Rome. With this new approach, Keith Jarrett delivers here the very latest state of his spontaneous musical creation. This release marks Keith Jarrett's 70th birthday (on May 8, 2015), alongside the release of an album on the ECM New Series label dedicated to Samuel Barber's Piano Concerto and Béla Bartók's 3rd Piano Concerto (May 4, 2015). In 2015, ECM also celebrates the 40th anniversary of the legendary album The Köln Concert.
