As a leader of smaller ensembles, she was known as a unique artist in her field, until she founded a full-fledged jazz big band in 2014. Six years and many concerts later, and now with 3 albums with her Big Band, she stands out as a pillar of Scandinavian jazz. In this album, her 16 musicians play with unrestrained passion and sensitivity, while Kathrine Windfeld continues to expand her palette of expressions with daring instrument combinations.
