Formed in 1991 by Jonas Renkse & Anders Nyström, and progressing from early pioneers of the nascent black/death/doom movement, to figureheads of progressive metallic rock, Katatonia presented their eleventh studio opus, the poignant City Burials, in early 2020. Due to a somewhat unforeseen global event that occurred that year and made international touring virtually impossible for artists, Katatonia created a more intimate "In Lockdown" show that was streamed live from Studio Grondahl, in Stockholm, on May 9, 2020. "Dead Air" offers fans a complete 88-minute set containing 20 songs from the band's vast and illustrious repertoire, with tracks spanning two decades of their discography, as well as three songs from the City Burials album in a live setting.
