Originally from Sydney, Kat Frankie made her name on the Berlin scene. The artist has in fact lived in the German capital since 2004, where she has already composed three albums. At first, the melancholic pace of this introverted singer-songwriter caught the attention of the Berlin public, but today, with hindsight, Kat Frankie rejects that image: “I never wanted to be one of those sad singers with my guitar.” And she has always managed to avoid that pitfall, notably thanks to her many side projects: guitarist accompanying Olli Schulz’s band, composer of “Get Well Soon,” the theme tune for the talk show Schulz & Böhmermann, and participant in the Eurovision Song Contest preselection in 2016 as part of the duo Keøma.
