The new album by The Karma Effect, "Promised Land," features 10 tracks of raw and groovy rock'n'roll, with sparkling 80s keyboards. Recorded at MRC Studios and The Hive Studios, both located outside of London, with Michael Charman, the album is built on the theme of escape from start to finish. From the isolated 48-hour pre-production boot camp the band experienced to the album's main ambition: "When we created the album, we felt like we had found our own bubble of utopia - nothing in the outside world mattered during those moments. That's exactly what we want to offer to everyone who takes the time to listen to the album," the band explains.
