Inspired by people, life, and nature, the Norwegian musician, composer, and poet Karl Seglem creates unique soundscapes, and on his new album "Ei Aning Gront" (A Sense of Green), you will find a collection of new recordings made between 2017 and 2022. Most importantly, on this new album, he returns to the essentials, as he only plays his main instrument: the tenor saxophone. Seglem has been hailed as one of the great innovators and visionaries of Norwegian jazz music, incorporating ancient traditional Nordic elements into his music. His goat horn music, full of improvisations very close to the sounds of nature, has been dominant in recent years (with many concerts mainly in Norway, but also more than 25 concerts in Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and Austria). These adventures have undoubtedly inspired his way of playing the tenor sax. On "Ei Aning Gront", it was therefore time for Karl Seglem to focus again on his main instrument and record a new album.
