After a first country folk album, English singer-songwriter KAREN ELSON releases Double Roses, a second album with much more dreampop sounds. 7 years after her first album - The Ghost Who Walks, produced by Jack White - KAREN ELSON continued to write and compose demos and work on a multitude of more dazzling projects. Those she had kept to herself for years gradually took shape after writing Distant Shore, which had a triggering effect on her. Double Roses was recorded in Los Angeles in three weeks, at the legendary United Studios in Hollywood with producer Jonathan Wilson (who has worked for Jackson Browne, Father John Misty, Conor Oberst, among others). Thus, it features beautiful collaborations with a host of talented artists such as Pat Carney (The Black Keys), Father John Misty, Laura Marling, Benmont Tench, Pat Sansone (Wilco), Nate Walcott (Bright Eyes), and Dani Harrison. Always on the border between doubts and regrets, without ever falling into either, Double Roses follows the red thread of KAREN ELSON's emotions.
