Nina

Description

L'album tribute to celebrate the 90th anniversary of jazz legend Nina Simone! This is not a celebrity album. With this tribute to Nina Simone, what Kareen Guiock-Thuram sings in her first album "Nina" may be the most secret and intimate part of her journey. The presenter of the 12.45 on M6 offers a contemporary reinterpretation of her songs - great classics as well as rarities - without mimicry or imitation. It should not be forgotten that Kareen Guiock-Thuram was the first Black woman to present a news broadcast with braided hair, which is a symbol for millions of women in this country. "If I have this confidence today, it is because I am a granddaughter of Nina Simone."
