Kamilya Jubran, Palestinian singer and oud player, and Sarah Murcia, double bassist adept at clear lines, have long thought about merging their universes and respective languages. With "Nhaoul'", they have found the magic formula to give free rein to their sensitive strings on a patiently constructed playground. The lyrics are strong, chosen from contemporary poets or, for the Suite Nomade, excerpts from a collection of Bedouin poetry from the deserts of Sinai and Negev and sung in dialect. "Nhaoul'", first created on the stages of the ARC in Rezé and the Dynamo of Banlieues Bleues, continues to surprise its audience. By the way, "Nhaoul'", in Arabic, refers to the "loom", more precisely the frame on which the threads are stretched and interwoven to make the fabric. Here, there is no doubt, the weave is solid.
