Staub & Strasse/Live 2024

Description

Ton Steine Scherben is undoubtedly the German rock band whose songs remain, more than 50 years later, strikingly relevant. With Staub und Strasse, Kai Sichtermann (bass) and Funky K. Gotzner (percussion), two founding members, pay tribute to this legacy while affirming its modernity. Since 2023, they have been collaborating with Birte Volta, a sensitive singer and guitarist blending folk, rock, and poetry. Together, they have recorded an intense and committed live album, captured during two concerts in May 2024. Staub und Strasse is at once a tribute to Rio Reiser and RPS Lanrue, a testament to a rebellious spirit that is still alive, and a declaration of love for a political, poetic, and resolutely contemporary music.
