Couronnes D'Ephémères

Description

For his third album, Kacimi is joined by his live band aptly named La Mécréance (Romano Bianchi, Vincent Breza, Anthony Savarit). With this gang, he revives his obsessions of guitar-driven bubble pop garage. After various singles ("Décroche," "Il fait si chaud ce soir," "Les Rois") and collaborations over the past two years (Lionel Limiñana, Laurent Blot, Alexis Fugain, L'Éclair...), Couronne d'Éphémères slips into Kacimi's discography as a collection of power pop songs infused with a biting poetry and overflowing with life slices where absurdity becomes a given. A third album in the form of a hedonistic trip, where each measure is a pleasure finely orchestrated by La Mécréance, a Geneva freakbeat combo with a surf swagger and caustic humor. With this electric quartet, Kacimi confidently covers Gainsbourg, plays with yéyé and Mersey beat codes, while giving them a contemporary and modern interpretation. 13 tracks that blend mid-tempo rhythm and blues with love ballads suspended in time.
