A pioneer of the French-speaking reggae scene, Brahim has rocked and inspired an entire generation raised on sound systems. That’s also how he forged his path: touring the stages of mainland France, uncompromisingly defending the 4 albums that make up his discography. Brahim is above all a strong personality: an authentic artist who puts his nighttime questions and personal reflections down on paper. After a few years away, he returns with an ambitious project. A conceptual “double-sided” album that highlights the duality of the famous MC. Love and hate, shadow and light coexist... reject each other... A spiritual journey into the singer’s mind, who never stops wanting to express what he feels. This new bi-polar opus tackles two powerful themes that respond to one another, placing the listener at the center of the singer’s life experience. Brahim opens up about his critical vision of a society in decline, as well as his striking heartbreak, thus taking his audience as witness with blunt sincerity, a complete psychological nakedness revealing his deepest wounds. To carry out this new adventure, he surrounded himself with a solid team alongside his label Baco Records. Martin Bisson, Danakil’s keyboard player, handled production, Boris and Titi (Danakil’s bass-drums section) provided the rhythms, Manjul on percussion, Bozo Sax on saxophone, and Damien "Bobby" Coutrot on the album mix, carried out at Baco Studio. Enough to make the voice of this crooner, hungry for creation and expression, resonate once again.
