Sum Variations

Description

Sum Variations is an EP comprising two long studies around Josephine’s song, The Sum Of Us All (2013). These recordings were made in Spain and Morocco, respectively, in collaboration with two different ensembles. These two variations offer a glimpse into the early explorations of this song, which was later incorporated into Foster’s song cycle, Godmother (transformed into an electric solo album released on Fire Records in 2021). Side A: recorded live in the village of Joujouka, Ahl-Srif mountains, Morocco, in 2012. Side B: recorded and mixed by Gyda Valtysdottir, in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain, in 2012.
