Sum Variations
Description
Sum Variations is an EP featuring two extensive studies of Josephine Foster’s song The Sum Of Us All (2013). These recordings were made in Spain and Morocco, respectively, in collaboration with two different ensembles. These two variations offer a glimpse into the song's early explorations, which was later integrated into Foster's song cycle Godmother (transformed into an electric solo album released on Fire Records in 2021). Side A: recorded live in the village of Joujouka, Ahl-Srif Mountains, Morocco, in 2012.
